Hi, I’m Martin, and I’m a nature and wildlife photographer based in Surrey, UK.
I’ve always had a keen interest in nature and wildlife, which started during my childhood in Southern Africa. I was happiest heading out into the bush, searching for and learning about snakes, lizards and frogs.
My interest in photography started when I was a teenager - borrowing the school camera to spend weekends taking macro photos of various scaly creatures. Back in those days every photo was meticulously-planned, because my pocket money only stretched to a few rolls of film a year!
I’m no longer based in Southern Africa, now living in Surrey in the UK, where I’ve discovered that, if you take the time to notice, there is plenty of awesome nature to experience.
This website is a little bit of an experiment. It’s important to have a purpose, and whilst taking photos in nature provides great fulfilment, I’d like to share those photos to a wider audience. If I can help a few people to get a little more interested in the wonder of nature, then perhaps that makes the world a little bit better.
