Heffalumps, that’s what Winnie the Pooh, and my Dad, called them, and it’s always amazing to see them where they’re meant to be. Addo Elephant Park is full of heffalumps, who feast on the leaves and branches of the succulent spekboom bushes (translates to bacon tree). The national park is also packed with other wildlife. One of my favourites is the yellow mongoose, who patrol in the evening sunsets, looking for tasty things to eat.
